What Sets Premiata Sneakers Apart from Other Brands
Premiata always stands out and is unique, even when the colors aren’t bright. The brand is moving toward a style similar to others, and it’s doing a great job of it; Premiata actively draws on classic designs and infuses them with unconventional and creative design techniques. These include bold, unusual accents rarely seen on sneakers and unique embellishments.

The result is a recognizable design. Their distinctive features include the standard pattern on the sides of the outsole and the T-shaped logo, which many mistake for a cross.
All Premiata sneakers are produced in limited editions, so the product cannot be called mass-market. Also, although we know of several Italian brands, like Premiata, that emphasize design, this approach differs from most approaches to sneakers and therefore cannot be called standard.
Despite all its creativity, the brand does not forget about sustainability and responsible manufacturing. The John Low model became the brand’s first model to use 50–80% recycled materials. Additionally, waterless technology was used in the production of this model.
Materials
Premiata Conny Sneakers made exclusively from high-quality materials: ripstop synthetic fabric, calfskin and goatskin leather, as well as suede. Each model features a different combination of materials in varying proportions, and each colorway is assigned its own unique number. For example, the black fabric version of the Eric model is numbered 4939, while the black leather and suede version with a white sole is numbered 5370.
Premiata sneakers feature a very well-thought-out design. They are wide and soft, yet retain their shape well. The tongue provides extra comfort for the foot. Not all brands can boast such comfortable and well-designed tongues.
The interior of the sneakers, regardless of the model, is fully lined with leather. 86% of the lining is made of goatskin and 14% of calfskin. The leather is very soft, and walking in them is very comfortable. In addition, the natural material breathes constantly and keeps your feet warm. And the rest of the lining is very durable, unlike the typical synthetic lining used by most other brands.
Insole
Premiata is also the subject of another point of contention. The insole is made from the same EVA material used by other manufacturers, but its shape differs from the standard design: Premiata features a raised heel area that enhances comfort and provides additional cushioning. Additionally, there are small raised edges around the heel area, and a slight indentation in the center of the heel area that helps the foot settle into the correct position on the insole. The top of the insole is finished with leather, which makes it easier to care for. Furthermore, these insoles do not absorb unpleasant odors, unlike those with a textile finish.
Most sneaker manufacturers produce insoles that are completely flat. The most you can get from such insoles is that they fit under the arch of the foot. And, as I already mentioned, they are made of synthetic fibers, which can be more of a negative than a positive factor during use.
Outsole
The sole of the sneakers is made of EVA and a rubber outsole. This is standard and no different from other sneakers. In contrast, many sneaker manufacturers, especially those who originally produced them for athletic purposes, have incorporated various technologies into the sole to improve cushioning; with Premiata, it’s simple: the sole is made of EVA and rubber, the sole is made of EVA and rubber, the sole is made of EVA and rubber. The role of the trainer’s shock absorber is performed by hollow holes in the sole. Nevertheless, despite the lack of innovative technologies, the high-quality material from which it is made does an excellent job and may give a chance to the sports brand that was advertised first.
It’s also worth noting that the brand’s designers actively use the sole to accentuate the sneaker’s overall look. For example, the sides of the sole are often colored in multiple shades. Of course, prints are always used, which is what clearly sets Premiata apart from other brands.
Size
The brand’s size chart corresponds to the standard European size chart. I wear a European size 43, which has a length of 28 cm.
Weight
The weight is 365 grams. This is an excellent figure, considering the large amount of leather used, and is in line with the average weight of modern high-quality sneakers.
Fit
The fit of Premiata shoes is close to perfect for me. They provide excellent support, and thanks to the cushioning of the high-quality sole, my feet don’t get tired. Importantly, even in the low-top models, my feet don’t get too cramped. I have a heavy gait and struggle with proper walking form. The sneakers are lined with leather on the inside, which makes them warmer in cold weather. At the same time, they’re breathable, so they don’t get too hot during the warmer months. This is especially true if you choose a model made primarily of fabric. You feel very comfortable in these sneakers. All Premierta sneakers can be worn in virtually any weather conditions. At the very least, the mid-season sneakers keep your feet very warm in winter. Well, I probably wouldn’t recommend walking through snowdrifts in them—it’s hard to imagine that the sneakers would come out looking the same.
As for prices, Premiata is a premium brand, so its models cost an average of 25,000 rubles. Thanks to discounts, some models can be purchased for 18,000 rubles. It doesn’t make sense to compare Premiata’s price with sneakers in a lower price segment, but if you compare the price of these models with a similar New Balance series—for example, one manufactured in the UK or the US, where premium suede is also used—then the price of those models is comparable to Premiata’s.
