Two weeks later, the woman is advised to take a pregnancy test. If the IVF was successful, the pregnancy test will show a positive result; if the result is negative, there is no need to be upset—in most cases, the first attempt is unsuccessful, and hormone support therapy is then discontinued. The IVF procedure is repeated after a certain period of time, as determined by the doctor. If the man has any issues with sperm quality but the woman is healthy, doctors recommend intrauterine insemination. This method is suitable for couples with incompatibility issues—that is, when sperm are immobile or do not survive for any reason. In such cases, this insemination method helps overcome the problem.
